Team is ready for Binck Bank Tour

  |   Press
What was known up until last year as Eneco Tour is now Binck Bank Tour under the patronage of new sponsor. It is still the same race, the only stage race in Netherlands and Belgium on World Tour level. Even this year the route will go to some of the famous climbs featured in classics of Amstel Gold race and Tour of Flanders. First 3 stages are flat, including 9 km individual time trial, while last 4 stages are hilly, and we can expect grand classification fight all the way to the last finish line. The race will go from August 7th to 13th and it will go back and forth between Netherlands and Belgium. Stages 1, 2 and 5 being raced in Netherlands and the rest in Belgium.
One of our Sports Director for the race Tristan Hoffman said; “In this group we have a mix of experienced and young riders. From the start we’ll give chance to all of our riders, we won’t designate a leader. Also we’ll aim to go into breakaways, trying to take the win from the sprinters on the first few flat stages.
Last year Luka Pibernik won stage 6 of this race, after going into breakaway. On that day breakaway make it to the finish line and Luka won the sprint. Luka had good rest after his first Giro d’Italia this May and we hope that coming back to the race of his first World Tour win, he’ll be ready to show us why he likes this race.
Lineup for Binck Bank Tour: Valerio Agnoli, Yukiya Arashiro, Grega Bole, Ivan Cortina, Enrico Gasparoto, Ion Insausti, David Per and Luka Pibernik.
