Adelaide, Friday 19th January – As we all expected, it was the final made Stage 4 TDU dramatic. Traveling upward into the rolling majestic Adelaide Hills, Domenico Pozzovivo was the best in BAHRAIN MERIDA Team, he took 7th with the fast men, while Izagirre brothers finished in the first group as well.

Comments from Pozzovivo after stage 4: “It was a difficult day because of the temperature. the climb was not so steep, the group was not very selective. Finally it was an important attack from Sagan, we had Gorka presented in the front, which was good for us.”

“In the final I tried to take the sprinters’ wheel, I was not a sprinter but I tried to do the best. It was a good result for me to finish in Top 10. I think tomorrow will be a great fight. It would be steeper climb and normally less hot than today. Every year we have some difference in Top 10. We will all try to stay in the front group and fight for the win.”

“We are active today, I am happy to see that. This is one of the stages we should take our chance,” says our sports director Tristan Hoffman. We hope to see good selection first time up in Willunga Hill.
