About This

Sad start of the Tour de France for Team BAHRAIN MERIDA. Our leader Ion Izagirre crashed badly on the slippery roads of the opening Time Trial in Düsseldorf and was forced to abandon.

In ST2 first top ten finish with Colbrelli, who was 6th at the sprint. The Italian sprinter will take other results in the top ten, after the rest day in ST10 then in ST14, with a great performance he took 6th again, coming to the line together with Froome.

In ST15 Grmay played a big role: he went into the breakaway right from the gun, finishing around the top twenty. Few days before, he and Arashiro went in the chase for the breakaway riders at the very beginning of the day.

A career stage for Ondrej Cink who proved his great potential on the climbs (Télégraphe and Galibier) to Serre Chevalier in ST17.

The first ever Tour de France of Team BAHRAIN MERIDA finishes with a 6th place in Paris. On the Champs-Elysées Borut Bozic contested the sprint.
