Cepoy – Moulins/Yzeure, 200km. Flat.

Today’s stage opened with a bad news for Team BAHRAIN MERIDA: unfortunately Domen Novak was involved in a crash after 3km and he was forced to abandon. He was driven to the hospital, but happily the injuries were not so serious. The diagnosys from Dr. Guardascione:
“There isn’t a fracture, but only acromio-clavicular joint dislocation. They put his shoulder in a block. I spoke also with Domen. He feels only little pain. It’s possible for him to join immediately the team and further to go home for rest and rehabilitation”.
The stage was less nervous than on the previous days and despite Team Sky’ acceleration in the finale, it ends with a bunch sprint as expected, but our Sonny Colbrelli wasn’t in a good position to contest it.
Team BAHRAIN MERIDA leader Dylan Teuns comments: “It was easier than the first two days. I’m happy I finished safely without any issues. Let’s keep looking forward now”.
