Today he finished in the main group and now in the eve of the final Sunday stage keeps focused to win the overall at the famous Geraardsbergen. Matej Mohorič leads in overall with 30 seconds ahead of Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb) and 32 seconds ahead of Taco van der Hoorn (Roompot-Nederlanse Loterij) as third in GC.

Matej Mohorič said shortly after the penultimate stage and beeing aware of the big chance for the overal victory he has on Sunday: “Today was a hard stage. It was even harder then I expected. I tried to stay at the front whenever it was possible. In one moment I missed a little bit of legs when Van Avermaet and Mathews attacked on a smooth line and accross to the breakaway. Then i was thinking that they will go to the finish and that the others will not catch back so I made it on my own and lost lots of energy. In the final it wasall ok an the losses to the breakaway. At the and Lampert crached in front of me, so I couldnt take a better position for the sprint. I am glad that me and my team-mates managed to defend the leader’s jersey. Tomorrow is the decisive stage and I hope I will have good legs like today and do all possible to take the overall victory ot Binck Bank Tour.
