La Vuelta – ST10
La Vuelta a España
August 24th – September 15th
TUESDAY, 3 SEP 2019
Jurançon > Pau, 36.2 km. Individual time trial
After the first rest day La Vuelta a España continues with an individual time trial in France. A rolling and demanding course, that as expected favoured the time trial specialists, with Primoz Roglič taking both the stage and the red jersey.
For this reason is even more brilliant the result taken by Dylan Teuns, who finished in 9th place. 1’27” down on the winner. A top ten place that leaves the Belgian rider also in the top ten overall, 9th as well.
Hermann Pernsteiner put in a good performance too, finishing in 20th place and 11th overall.
David Bailey Team Bahrain Merida Head of Performance is satisfied: “It’s a good performance from our guys, that are not time trial specialists and the course was also technical, with steep climbs. They could maintain their gc position ahead of the second part of the race. All in all a good day for us”.
