Antalya, October 10thStage 2 of the 54th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (Alanya-Antalya, 154.1km) ends with a bunch sprint as expected.
Ivan Garcia Cortina contested it and he managed to take a good 5th place: “It was a very tough sprint and somehow dangerous too. A hectic final where fortunately I didn’t crash, but I’m a little bit afraid because maybe I could even take third place. I’m satisfied with my result anyway”.

Team BAHRAIN MERIDA Sports Director Tristan Hoffman analyses today’s performance of the team: “It was a different race if compared to yesterday’s and everything’s happened in the final Kms. The boys worked really well together and they brought Cortina to a great position ahead of the sprint. His 5th place is a good result. Next goal is the podium, but I’m satisfied with today’s stage”.

Sam Bennett takes the win of stage two and the overall leadership as well. Tomorrow stage 3 from Fethiye to Marmaris (132.7km).
