Belleville en Beaujolais, 5th June, 2nd stageI- Today stage has been a long progression until the final sprint won by the German Pascal Ackermann, who preceded the new race leader the South African Daryl Impey.

“We went easy until the first ascent – confirms Ramunas Navardauskas – and then the pace gradually became more intense facing the first four short climbs. On the last one started the war for the first positions and so the peloton broke down in many parts”.

Heinrich Haussler was 13th at the finish line: “Not really a sprint for me – says the Australian rider  – it was my fault because I should stay further in the front. In the last kilometers, I was squeezed a little bit and so I was only able to sprint for minor positions.

“Thinking about the Tour – still Heinrich – I trained a lot in Teide and here everything is going well.  I’m improving day by day and this is the most important thing for me”.

Tomorrow with the 35km TTT the Critérium du Dauphiné will light up. “The team time trial will design for sure a new GC – explains SD Gorazd Štangelj – will be a very hard race: close to 40 minutes effort breathless. We are not the favorite team, but this year we have worked more for this kind of race and we will give everything even thinking about the TTT of the Tour de France “.
