Valencia (Spain), 10th FebruaryDylan Teuns finished 5th overall after the final stage 5 (Paterno-Valencia, 88.5km) at the Volta a La Comunitat Valenciana, that was his first race of the season and his debut with the jersey of the Team BAHRAIN MERIDA.

“In today’s short and flat stage there wasn’t much to do to shake out the general classification” Sports Director Vladimir Miholjević explains “We tried to use the wind condition that seems to be very strong to try to attack and make something happen, seen that yesterday Teuns dropped to 5th position in the general classification, because of a flat tyre. But nothing happened and so we prepared the sprint for Sonny Colbrelli, but you know sprints is always a lottery. There wasn’t a good result for us today, but we can be happy because the team worked well together throughout the week and a top five place overall is something we can be satisfied”.

Sonny Colbrelli was in the small group of about twenty riders that avoided a crash with about 3km to go and he tried to contest the sprint won by Groenewegen (Jumbo), taking 8th place in Valencia.
