A good TTT opens the Tirreno-Adriatico
Lido di Camaiore, 7th March 2018 – In the inaugural Tirreno-Adriatico’s team time trial, the TBM closes in eleventh position with a 49 seconds gap from the team stage winner the American BMC Racing Time.
Among the best Kanstantsin Sioutsou: “It’s been a long time since I ran a time trial with my team-mates and I have to say that I went really well. I pulled for long stretches of road trying to make others breathe. I have always maintained a high pace with peaks near 65 km / h “.
Sonny Colbrelli is also pleased: “I’m happy, it was my first time trial team trial with Vincenzo trying to make the general classification and I think I did a good job. I’m not a specialist but when I was up front of the line I was able to keep the speed always around 60 km / h “.
A good TTT but not super for Sport director Alberto Volpi: “A performance in line with expectations. We went strong in the first part but we went more slowly going back to Lido di Camaiore. The boys gave almost everything, it was a shame for Ramunas who did not have a great day and could not give his usual contribution”.
Tomorrow, second stage from Camaiore to Follonica (167 km). The route is quite completely flat up to the 8.3-km final circuit to be covered three times.
