Visconti with the best at Milano-Torino
“I started the Superga’s climb for the first time – explains Giovanni Visconti, who today finished 13th – but I immediately realized that the sensations were not those of the past few days. That is why, for the second time, I decided to go up with my pace and I did a good training in view of Lombardy. ”
“Saturday’s classic is a great match for our team – still the Italian rider – and my job will be to help Vincenzo as much as possible. I’d like to close my season in the best way. ”
Colombian Rigoberto Uran won the 98th edition of Milan-Torino ahead of Adam Yates and Italian Fabio Aru.
“We played the race without giving too much responsibility to the boys – comments SD Alberto Volpi – also trying to save energy. The team worked so much just before Superga’s climb to make it stand before Giovanni. ”
The next race will be the 111th edition of the Lombardia starting from Bergamo and arriving on the lake in Como. It’s one of the most challenging course of the calendar with 4,000 meters of vertical elevation and a complicated final.
