Tour of California

May 12th – 18th

WEDNESDAY, 15 MAY 2019

Raceway Laguna Seca>Morro Bay, 212.5km. Sprint Finish.

Another top ten place for Phil Bauhaus at the Tour of California, sprinting to 7th place in Morro Bay: “It was a long day. The stage was controlled. The finale was really hectic, very fast. We couldn’t make a proper lead-out, but we have to keep fighting and I’m sure the win will arrive sooner or later”.
As expected the fast men contested the win of the stage that run along the Southern California coast. It was a close sprint finish after a chaotic finale, with a crash that involved also the race overall leader Van Garderen. For few seconds he managed to retain the leadership of the general classification, that see Bahrain Merida riders still in the top twenty: Rohan Dennis 17th and Hermann Pernsteiner 19th with a gap of about 40” to the podium.
