Tour de Pologne: after two sprint, tomorrow first climbs

The first two stages of the Tour de Pologne go into archive with two massive final sprint. Today on the finish line in Katowice, Niccolò Bonifazio has reached 7h at the end of a sprint won by Italian Sacha Modolo.

The Dutch Danny Van Poppel is the new leader of the overall standings with our Bonifazio in ninth position.

“There have been two relatively quiet stages,” said Giovanni Visconti, “but tomorrow we will start to see who can win the Tour. Our main task will be to help our captain Vincenzo Nibali and, if there will be an opportunity, to try win the race”.

“After the two stages suitable for sprinters – commented sports director Gorazd Stangelj – tomorrow will be the first stage with different climbs. They are not long, but they have interesting slopes. It will be a good test to see how the boys are. “

The third stage, in fact, offers the first coming uphill of this Tour de Pologne. There will be 160 kilometers between Jaworzno and the finish line in Szczyrk with the last 1400 meters climb with a maximum slope of 15%.
