San Benedetto del Tronto, 14th March 2017 – The 7th and last stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico took place today in San Benedetto del Tronto, with a 10 km Individual Time Trial.

A traditional conclusion of the “Race of the Two Seas”, which indeed closely follows the final circuit route of the concluding stages of recent editions.

“The route was completely flat and not particularly difficult or technical” says Manuele Boaro, the first BAHRAIN MERIDA rider to start “It was a time trial for specialist and for ‘powerful’ athletes, so I’m satisfied with my performance”.

“A good opportunity to test the materials and test our shape as well” explains Kanstantsin Siutsou “I’ve got good feeling and looking ahead to the next races with confidence”.

In San Benedetto the fastest was Rohan Dennis, while Nairo Quintana won the Tirreno-Adriatico for the second time.

SD Alberto Volpi’s overview of the just ended stage race: “Tirreno has been an important test for our Team. Performance and results let us acknowledged that we have to work further ahead to next aims, first of all the Milano-Sanremo. Our leader Vincenzo Nibali is confident and will go ahead with training towards his next targets”.
