Team Colpack will be the development team of BAHRAIN MERIDA
Saturday, 21st January – BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team will be cooperating with Team Colpack, the most successful U23 and Elite Team in Italy. The cooperation as a development team will enhance and give further chances to those young talents that will be riding this season with MERIDA bicycles.
The agreement has been signed yesterday at the headquarters of Team BAHRAIN MERIDA with the exchange of the jerseys between the Team Manager of Team Colpack Antonio Bevilacqua and the managers of our team the General Manager Brent Copeland and the Business & Marketing Manager Alex Carera, who explained the reasons of this relationship: “Team Colpack is a team that has a long-standing experience with young riders and knows how to make them grow professionally and in the best environment. For our team and for MERIDA is important to have a development team that help us to make young talents growing and for this reason we decided to promote this project”.
Brent Copeland thinks the same and says: “This project is really important and we’re proud to cooperate with an experienced team as the Colpack, besides a warranty. We would like to make young cyclists growing, above all to help them to be ready to debut in the pro cycling. In the future will be crucial to can rely on that development team in Europe to give the chance to ride to Asian and Bahraini young talents too. We can count on the utmost cooperation from Bevilacqua and his staff and we’re looking forward to discover some good riders on that side of the world too, but meanwhile I’m sure that we will have right now the possibility to grow some young talents together with them”.
