Staff took seriously running race at Training Camp

  |   Press

Hvar, December 13th, 2017 – On the day off for the riders, staff took centre stage and organised a fun running relay race starting from Hvar’s main square finishing to the top of the “Fortica” fortress. The course was not easy, all the stages were uphill and each leg was labeled after the famous mountain finish. There were 10 teams split between mechanics, masseurs, doctors, cooks, PR, sports directors and coaches. Each team was weighted and the heaviest team started first while the lightest team started 30 seconds behind the first team, with all the teams starting based on their handicap. Each team had to come up with creative baton that represents their team position. It was fun race, but all teams took it seriously since the looser had to jump into the sea, which in December is not as warm as during tourist season. Our riders took part of being judges and cheer squad. All in all it was a great team building event, and an idea for the annual race that locals can take on.
