Solid TBM performance at ITT Stage 2 of Binck Bank Tour

Binck Ban Tour 2018.

 

Venray, August 14th– Stage 2 –ITT – Venray – Venray – 12.7 km

 

Stefan Küng (BMC Racing Team) dominantely took the victory at todays’ ITT Stage2 of Binck Bank Tour 2018. He also took the overal lead after tododqays’ individual time trial stage.

Küng made a huge advantage of 14 seconds at the relatively short and flat ITT course that wasn’t so technicaly demanding. The runner up was the European time trial champion Victor Campenaerts (Lotto Soudal). Søren Kragh Andersen and Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb) team-mates steped u to the third place of the podium with a second more then the runner up.

BinckBank Tour relocates today to Belgium and on Wednesday, the Stage 3 should be suitable for sprinters in Antwerp.

TBM riders made a solid performance ad todays ITT stage and Matej Mohorič, the team leader at BBT expressed himself shortly: “The time trial was as we expected. Some guys went really fast and set almost one minute then me but I believe that at the following stages we will try to get back the time that we lost today. I am also satisfied with my new Time Warp  Merida bike.” Matej Mohorič has +0:58 seconds behind the GC leader Stefan Küng.
