Paris-Nice

March 10th – 17th

SATURDAY, 16 MAR 2019

Nice-Col de Turini La Bollène-Vésubie, 181.5km. Mountain.

Good performance of Team BAHRAIN MERIDA climber Domenico Pozzovivo in the Queen stage, that featured 5 intermediate climbs and the final spectacular ascent to Col de Turini. He finished in the top 20, taking 17th place (+4’16”): “After a troubled week due to the wind, today I recovered my place in the peloton and I was with the first guys in the final climb. Unfortunately I couldn’t manage to go in the breakaway and I just could play there with the GC men”. Strong ride of Ivan Cortina and Kristijan Koren as well who were in the large group day’s breakaway. After the penultimate stage Teuns is still in the top twenty, even if he lost two positions and he sits now in 17th place.
