Haussler and Mohorič TBM leading riders at the hardest one day race of the year Paris-Roubaix

  |   Press

On Sunday, April 14th, this year’s 117th Paris-Roubaix will include 54.5km of cobbled roads, divided across 29 different sectors of the 257km race distance, with the Trouée d’Arenberg, Mons-en-Pévèle and Carrefour de l’Arbre given five-star status as the hardest and longest of the race.

The shortening of the Troisvilles sector to its first 900 m is the major change to the course for this year, along with several other cobbled sectors in the first part of the race which have been altered. From the area of Valenciennes at sector 23 on, the course is exactly the same as in 2018.
TBM line-up for Paris-Roubaix 2019:  Heinrich Haussler, Matej Mohorič, Marcel Sieberg, Ivan García Cortina, Phil Bauhaus, Kristijan Koren and Jan Tratnik.

TBM Sport Director Borut Božič comments before the race: »We will go to the race with two leaders. Mohorič is in a good shape, so he will be our first leader. The second leader will be experienced Haussler. With both we can reach a good result. Our goal is to be among top 10. Other riders will support them and try to go in a breakaway from the beginning and in the final, when the race will explode, we hope that they will perform their best.«
