Gommiswald, June 14th–  Stage 6 – Fiesch – Gommiswald – 186 km

Soren Kragh Andersen (Team Sunweb) won the queen stage 6 at Tour de Suisse 2018 and he did it from the breakaway in which were 17 riders at the most of the day and by last kilometers, there were seven of them with Gorka Izagirre TBM.

Richie Porte (BMC) enlarged his GC lead an impressive attack to the last climb and some seconds behind Porte came the rest of the breakaway group and Gorka Izagirre (TBM) was the winner of that group and winner of both intermediate sprints. Finally, Gorka Izagirre took the third place of today’s stage and took a prize of the most active rider today. All TBM rider did a good job today and Enrico Gasparotto was unlucky again by having a crash and light injury again. He continued the race with a new bike.

Ion Izagirre kept his seventh position in the GC, with 0:48 seconds behind  Richie Porte.

Gorka Izagirre said shortly after the stage; «My legs are good, I feel good. I went into a breakaway and unfortunately the other riders in that group were not interested to collaborate for the fight, but I am satisfied with a third place no matter that we didn’t make better for the GC»
