It is a massive honour for Bahrain Merida to have the Individual time trial world champion in the team for the upcoming seasons and one of the world classy time trial talent.
Consider that Dennis won almost all of the individual time trials that he contested in 2018. He started the year by taking his third consecutive national time trial title and finished it by winning his first world TT title in Innsbruck.
The Aussie rider is not only a time trial specialist, but his strength is also stage racing, where he showed his potential as a Grand Tour contender by spending some days in the overall leader jersey.
He began his career by focusing on the track and was part of the Australian team that took the silver medals in the team pursuit at 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The Olympics in 2020 will be one of his biggest aims, but he didn’t hide his ambitions to challenge for Grand Tours one day.
His enthusiasm and exciting way of racing will definitely bring something special to the team.
