De Brabantse Pijl

April 17th

WEDNESDAY, 17 APR 2019

Leuven – Overijse, 196.2km. Tough course with 31 hills to cover.

Team Bahrain Merida did not succeed in bringing De Brabantse Pijl home again. Sonny Colbrelli couldn’t manage to join the group of attackers that contested today’s sprint, won by the young talent Van der Poel. The guys worked to bridge the gap to the escapees to help our sprinter to get back, but it was definitely the decisive move.
Team Sports Director Rik Verbrugghe analyses the race “I asked to the boys to be offensive and to follow every attacks, but we were always moving in a second time and once you started like this, then all day it is difficult. Anyway, we’re looking ahead to next upcoming races. Onward”.
