“I did a good sprint – says Sonny Colbrelli – it was a shame that it was only fifth place. The sensations continue to be good and I also faced the Montevecchio steep climb without any particular problems”.

The race was decided with 55 km to go when was formed a command quartet which immediately accumulated a good advantage on the main peloton. In Cesenatico the Italian Marco Zamparella won the Memorial Pantani preceding at the sprint the other Italian Diego Ulissi and Colombian Egan Bernal.
