BAHRAIN MERIDA TEAM PARTNERS WITH IRR

  |   Press

Torino, 9th October 2017 – We have the pleasure to announce that the IRR Rehabilitations Institute of Turin will become the official Clinic of BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team for the whole 2018 season.

The Rehabilitations Institute of Turin offers Integrated Rehabilitation model that includes orthopaedics, cardiovascular, urological, neurological and other examinations and treatments. The IRR Rehabilitations Institute has an ultra-modern clinic for Sports Medicine on more than 2,200 square meters, featuring also a salt-water indoor rehabilitation swimming pool and an outdoor running track. Professional medical staff of IRR will be available for our athletes, as well as ultra-modern equipment and advanced technologies for medical checks and rehabilitations.

The collaboration with IRR for the coming season will be of great support to BAHRAIN MERIDA Team’s medical staff,” says Dr. Luca Pollastri, member of BAHRAIN MERIDA Medical Staff. “Finding a reliable partner that could offer expertise in the diagnostic and therapeutic field was one of the goals for the new season. The Institute will support our Team already in the upcoming weeks when the athletes will undergo medical checks. We strongly believe that the new partnership will be an important added value for the medical staff and that the entire Bahrain MERIDA Team will benefit from it.

We are very proud to link the name of IRR to a pro cycling team like BAHRAIN MERIDA,” explains Dr. Ugo Riba, President of CIDIMU Group. “This partnership is a great opportunity to share our common values, such as sport, which we consider as a key part of health and well-being.

The Group of CIDIMU SpA – RIBA SpA Institutes was born in Turin in 1982 with the aim of developing diagnostics with ultrasound, which at that time was still not widespread and far from the current sophistication and importance. It can claim credit for introducing and promoting the EcoDoppler in Turin and in Piedmont: a technology that, by combining and integrating the morphological information from the ultrasound and the hemodynamic information from the Doppler with each other, has allowed ultrasound to become one of the most formidable means of diagnosis currently available in medicine.
